If you or someone you know would like to enroll your child in ESC Region 19 Head Start but don’t know where to begin, do we have good news for you! Head Start is always enrolling, and the process is easier than you think! Here are three simple steps to giving your child the Head Start advantage:
1. Fill out the pre-application online by clicking the orange "Pre-Qualify" button in the top right corner of our webpage. Make sure that your contact information is current and correct, and gather the documents listed on the "Required Documentation Checklist".
2. A Head Start Family Service Worker (FSW) will contact you within two business days to complete the screening, request any additional documents (if applicable) and schedule a "Virtual Visit" to determine eligibility.
3. If eligibility is confirmed, congratulations - your child may now enroll in Head Start! Your child will be assigned to the Head Start center nearest to his/her address with available vacancies.
If your child's Head Start center is at capacity, your child will be placed on a waiting list and you will be notified of the next available vacancy.
